These Chickens Knew
Their Auto Tires

Claude White, who lives about a
mile from this city, is thinking that
he has the champion spare-tire-rid-
ing chickens. At least, Mr. White
has not heard of an instance where
his chickens have been beat.
Mr. White got into his Hudson
the other night and came to this
city. He drove up to a filling sta-
tion to get some gas and oil. The
filling station operators wanted to
know what he was going to do with
his chickens. "What chickens?"
asked Mr. White. "Those in the
back there," said the filling station
operator.
Mr. White got out of his car and
went around to the back of it and
there were several chickens sitting
on the spare tire. They had gone to
roost on the tire when night came
and had not bothered to get off when
the car was started, sitting tight all
the way to town.
