Full Text

Horse Stealing.-On Friday morning, Mr. A. H. Lytle, of Washington, Pa., got up about five o'clock and went out to the stable and fed his horse. About an hour afterwards he discovered that some one had stolen the animal. Instead of going at once in pursuit, he hunted up a constable, losing a good deal of valuable time, and started after the thief. Some two miles from Washington the pursuers learned that the rascal had stolen a set of harness somewhere, and went to a stable where a spring wagon was standing, not a hundred yards from a house, and had hitched up to the wagon and driven off. They followed the bold operator to Temperanceville where they lost all trace of him.
