Congress Urged To OK Cancer Funds
MIAMI BEACH --The 30th Convention urged Congress to give "immediate and serious consideration to legislation advanced by Sen. Matthew Neely (D-W Va) to provide an adequate sum, "at least $100 million to fight cancer."
Funds would be used to "mobilize in a convenient place in the United States . . . the world's outstanding experts, to coordinate and utilize their services, and those of other individuals and institutions in an all-out supreme effort to discover means of preventing and curing cancer."
