THE GOVERNOR VETOES PARTISAN LEGISLATION.

Governor Harding's veto of the measures passed by the last legislature to repeal the non-partisan judiciary law and restore the circle to the official ballot, is commendable.

The office of judge should be as far removed as possible from the political arena. There should be no political ties between the judiciary and political parties.

The circle at the top of a ballot is an insult to intelligence, a device of political machines. The governor knocked the rim off the circle. No regrets.
