Instantly Killed by a Cave.

Bakersfield, Cal., Nov. 27.—George Munk, a native of Denmark, a young man 25 years of age, was killed in the mine of Webb & Co., at Long Tom, twenty miles from here, yesterday morning between the hours of 9 and 10 o'clock. He had entered the mine for the purpose of conversing with a workman on business matters, when a cave took place from the top of the drift, falling from a distance of about seventy feet above the spot where he was standing, crushing and killing him instantly.
