Full Text

Edinburgh, July 29.

The foreign news of this week is as
little susceptible of recapitulation as
that of last week. The Continent of
Europe remains in the same unsettled
state. We have exhibited the relations
of the different powers in as clear
a light as we are able, but still it is
but darkness visible.

The British Parliament was prorogued
on Wednesday last, to the 28th
of August. In the Royal Speech (mere
message we should say) the existence of
negotiations for Peace between this
country and France is avowed, but
respecting the progress, or probable
result, we can say nothing. A Mr.
Fox is now in Paris. We hope
and believe, notwithstanding reports
to the contrary, that the negotiation
is a conjunct one.
