During the year ending 1st December last, there occurred the following casualties in the Navy.
DEATHS.
2 Commanders, 8 Lieutenants, 2 Surgeons, 2 Passed Assistant Surgeons, 1 Assistant Surgeon, 1 Purser, 1 Chaplain, 8 Passed Midshipmen, 5 Midshipmen, 4 Masters, 2 Engineers. Total 36.
RESIGNATIONS
2 Lieutenants, 1 Surgeon, 1 Passed Assistant Surgeon, 2 Assistant Surgeons, 1 Purser, 2 Masters, 2 Passed Midshipmen, 9 Midshipmen, 8 Engineers. Total 28.
DISMISSIONS.
1 Passed Midshipman, 4 Midshipmen, 1 Professor.
In the Marine Corps there were Killed in battle, 2 Majors and 1 Lieutenant, and there died of disease, 2 Captains.
