Full Text

Extract a letter from Warsaw, Dec. 22.

The Confederates of Great Poland have made an invasion on the Primate, and committed great violence there; but they found only 2000 rixdollars in specie, which they carried off with them.

Letters from Podolia advise, that 14,000 Tartars, with the Starosta of Wareck, and several other Confederates, have entered the kingdom, and are now committing hostilities.

The Confederates fell upon the little town of Zirke, near the Warthe, a few days ago, and demanded of the inhabitants 20,000 florins, besides all the corn and forage they seized there; but the steward had retired with the treasure just before they arrived, and (in revenge for their prey's having escaped them) the malecontents destroyed the castle and several houses, and massacred many of the unfortunate inhabitants.

They write from Warsaw, that two Prussian regiments of cavalry were just put in march for Great Poland, in order to chase the Confederates, &c. who were making irruptions there even as far as Posnania.

A letter from the Confines of Poland says, "As the Confederates push their depredations even into the King of Prussia's territories, several Prussian regiments hold themselves in readiness to march inwards Poland; and the cuirassier troops in Silesia and Hungary are forming a line on the frontiers."
