Rented District Offices.-The commissioners have informed Senator Morrill by letter that they pay for rented offices $5,900 per annum, as follows: Morrison building, Four-and-a-half street, $3,600; for those occupied by the health office, police headquarters, and telephone service, $2,200, and for attorney's office, $100. The erection of a new building for District purposes and the present condition of District finances warrant that a District building might be paid for in two years without seriously delaying current improvements.
