GOP's Invite Roosevelt To 'Two-Bit' Feed

Wheaton, Ill., Jan. 23.—(AP)—Bernard M. Long, a probate court clerk today invited President Roosevelt to attend a 'two-bit banquet' sponsored by Dupage county Republicans February 17—Lincoln's birthday.

'Due to your recent good neighbor attitude toward some of our boys in Washington in extending them an invitation to your Jackson day $100 dinner, we are extending to you an invitation to our Lincoln day banquet, a two-bit affair,' the invitation read.

Beef sandwiches, potato chips, pickles, cupcakes and coffee make up the menu.

'And there will be corn cob pipes and tobacco for the men, and barber pole striped candy for the women,' Long added.
