Full Text

The question of garbage cans to be stationed about the streets is again agitating the minds of the people. Some time ago County Clerk Patterson received prices for such cans from eastern firms and they are cheap and sanitary. He hopes to see the day when he can order them for this city.

The cans are intended more especially for use along the main street. A place where waste paper and small rubbish can be thrown and stop its drifting with every wind that blows, it would make the main thoroughfare more sightly and give the street cleaner less work every week. If the city can gather up the funds let it be applied. It is a good move and one that is adopted in every community of any size. There is no excuse letting wrapping paper and small waste blow about when with little effort it can be taken care of. See how far you can go Mr. Trustees at your next meeting in this regard.
