Moley Sees Congress As 'Liberal' Group

CHICAGO, Jan. 19 (U.P) - The new congress isn't radical, it's "merely liberal," in the opinion of Prof. Raymond Moley, erstwhile leader of President Roosevelt's advisors at the beginning of the "New Deal."

"As congresses go, I'd say it is a little better than the average," Moley said at the annual dinner of the Commercial Club of Chicago.

The former "brain truster" defined the Roosevelt recovery program as:

"A stupendous effort to maintain our traditional democracy in political life and the profit and loss system in economic life."

He applauded the President's social security proposals.
