BALTIMORE. April 16.

Extract of a letter from Norfolk to a gentleman in this city, dated April 8.

"You have doubtless heard of the Spanish fleet being out. Copies of lord St. Vincent's dispatches to admiral Parker in the West Indies are in town. The Spaniards had 19 and lord St. Vincent 22 sail of the line -5 sail and 60 merchant ships had gone on for the West Indies ; the others, it is supposed, for Brest. The frigate which brought the advices to the West-Indies passed through the Spanish fleet. From what I can collect the fleets were not more than from 10 to 15 leagues apart."
