Pratu Here To Begin Plans For Indian Day Programs

D. C. (Patty) Pratu, who is sponsor of the National North American Indian Day event in Browning July 17 and 18, was here Tuesday from Great Falls to begin planning the programs.

Mr. Pratu said he was arranging with Great Northern officials to have a special train from St. Paul carrying celebrants to the scene.

The first day's program will include the following events: Grass dance, crazy dog dance, little boys' grass dance contest, hand game, pigeon dance, wheel game, Indian princess day invitations to Governor, Senators and Representatives, grand entry of old Indian chiefs, Brave Society dance, victory dance, tepee dance, men's foot race, girl's foot race, old time horse dance.

In the evening the Indian medicine bundle will be presented.

The second day's program will include the following events: Horse racing—one-fourth and three-eighths mile: one-half mile (Indian derby), winner will be decorated with wreath of flowers, boys' foot race, bucking horse riding, pony express race, warbonnet race, square dance on horses, complete rodeo program.

Buffalo barbecue for all three days.
