Telegraphed for the Lynchburg Virginian

VIRGINIA LEGISLATURE.

Richmond, March 5.

House.

A message was received from the Senate, announcing the passage of the bill authorizing loan of $640,000 to the James River and Kanawha Canal Company.

A communication was received from Capt. Ericsson inviting the Legislature to visit the caloric ship, at the mouth of Acquia Creek, which was declined by the House, but accepted by the Senate. That body will do so Monday next.

Among the bills passed, was one establishing State stock Bank, at Richmond, with a capital of not less than $100,000, nor more than $500,000.
