From the ALBANY JOURNAL.

Messrs. Printers,

It is a fact, which many of the subscribers
for your Gazette and Journal, to
the northward of this city, can satisfactorily
prove, that for this month past the
impression of the 3d of April inst. and no
other has reached them. To whatever
cause it may be owing, it is proper the public
should be informed of this extraordinary
circumstance—whether it is to be attributed
to the spirited exertions of some of
the Federalists to prevent their fellow citizens
from being informed, that the opposition
to the adoption of the New-Con-
stitution without previous amendments is
still persevered in: whether they like not
the complexion of some late publications
contained in those papers, or whether you
intend the subscriptions for your papers
should cease are questions which it is expected
you will submit to the public by
publishing this in your next Monday's Journal.

Main Argument

subscribers north of albany have only received the april 3rd issue for the past month; this may be due to federalist efforts to block information on opposition to the unamended constitution, and the printers should publicly address the cause.
