Mexican Unhurt In Severe Fall
Many queer antics have graced the corridors of the county court house, where attorneys have wrangled, politicians have argued and prisoners have pleaded, but the queerest of these came yesterday afternoon on the east stairs from the first to the second floor lobby.
A harmless Mexican on business bound was the victim of what is perhaps the queerest tumble the court house has ever seen, when he slipped on the tenth step from the bottom and came bouncing down.
No sooner had the Mexican slipped than he doubled into a ball, head and feet tangled together, and began rolling. On each step some delicate portion of his anatomy struck rather forcibly. The fall was climaxed at the bottom by a grand slam which succeeded in untangling the ball, and sending several Mexican coins flying to all parts of the lobby.
While the Mexican picked himself up, rubbing numerous sore spots and looking about in a bewildered way, a companion went about gathering up the stray coins, leaving the condition of the one who fell for later investigation. Both continued on their way saying little.
