Judge J. A. Howell is to preside in Ogden and Governor Wm. Spry in Salt Lake at the mass meetings in honor of Chas. E. Hughes on Thursday.
Mayor A. R. Heywood and Congressman Joseph Howell yesterday were added to the party to meet Governor Hughes at the Nevada line. This party will leave Ogden for the west tomorrow night in a special car, which is to be attached to the Hughes cars.
Entering the state on Thursday, August 24, Governor Hughes will spend the entire day in Utah. He will leave by special train at midnight for Cheyenne, his principal stopping point Friday.
Briefly, here is the schedule for Thursday, Governor Hughes's day in Utah:
12:45 o'clock (mountain time)--Arrival at Ogden, where Governor Hughes and his party will be greeted by local committee.
1 p.m.--Luncheon, at place to be designated by Ogden local committee, followed by brief motor jaunt up Ogden canyon, if Governor Hughes so wishes.
2 p.m.--Mass meeting in the Alhambra theater, Ogden, at which Governor Hughes will speak.
4 p.m.--Members of Hughes party and reception committees leave for Salt Lake City over the Oregon Short Line.
