Sacred Music Concert At Methodist Church Heard by Capacity Crowd

The evangelist services held all last week at the Community Methodist Church was climaxed last Saturday evening with an hour and a half of sacred music selections with the church filled to capacity and many turned away for lack of seating capacity.

Included in the evening's program were many well-known and well-loved sacred selections, outstanding of which were "Prayer Perfect," sung by Sgt. Bob Scott; "Stranger of Galilee" and "The Lord's Prayer," sung by Dan Snively; "Ave Maria," played by Mrs. Florence Kearnes on the cello and Mrs. R. DuFresne on the harp.

Interesting instrumental selections included a piano and organ duet by Mrs. DuFresne and Mr. Snively; harp and musical saw, by Mr. and Mrs. DuFresne; and an organ and harp duet by Mrs. DuFresne and Robert Baldwin; and harp solos by Mrs. DuFresne.

The music was not only inspirational but in many cases a new experience for those who had never heard the musical saw and harp.

Mr. and Mrs. DuFresne and Dan Snively, who come from Vancouver, Wash., where Mr. DuFresne is in business, not only led the evangelistic services but gave of their talents over the local radio station daily and were featured at civic organizations during the week.
