Badger Business Group Organizes To Fight Co-ops

The National Tax Equality Ass'n was successful this month in organizing a group of Wisconsin small businessmen for the tax attack on cooperatives. This action followed formation of a similar business group in Minnesota last month.

The Badger businessmen were "sicked onto" the co-ops at an "off the record" meeting in Milwaukee on Dec. 10. M. J. Clancy, managing director of the Solid Fuel Institute of Milwaukee County, was named temporary chairman, and Donald S. Montgomery, secretary of the Wisconsin Retail Lumbermen's Ass'n, was named temporary secretary.
