Whig Logic.—A whig editor the other day expended forty-six dollars for clothes for himself, and eight dollars for necessaries for his family. Now if this editor can afford to spend 54 dollars in one day, let us see what his subscribers have to pay to support him one year. No less than $19,710 00 for one year only!! This is the whig reasoning on the expenses of the war.
A farmer bought a wagon on Saturday for which he paid 50. A whig editor would make his expenses $18,250 00 per year, by the same logic they use on the expenses of the war.
