The Board of Education Meeting Room.

-The Board of Education, at the last meeting, decided to fix up a meeting room in School No. 1, by making one room out of the Superintendent's office and the adjoining class room. Upon examination, however, it was found that the plan was impracticable, as to remove the partition between the two rooms would impair the strength of the 2d floor girders. The room committee, last night, petitioned Council to lease to the Board the second story room of old School No. 5, on E. Sixth street. If this petition is granted the Board will repair the room designated, raise the ceiling, make other necessary improvements, and fit it up as a permanent place of meeting.
