All Reports That the Gallatin City Is Not In the Capital Fight Unequivocally False.

Special Dispatch to the Standard.

BOZEMAN, Oct. 20.—A rousing mass meeting was held in the opera house to-night to again consider the capital question. The following resolutions were adopted unanimously amid a chorus of hurrahs:

WHEREAS, The Bozeman capital committee have received by mail a large number of letters from all parts of the state, stating that all men traveling in the interests of Helena say that Bozeman has withdrawn from the capital contest, and,

WHEREAS, Inquiries reach the committee by every mail asking to be advised of the facts of the case, therefore, be it

Resolved, That we, the citizens of Bozeman, in mass meeting assembled, condemn the tactics adopted by the Helena capital committee as misleading, dishonest and contemptible and an outrage on the voters of Montana.

Resolved, That we call upon all honest men to give the lie to any and all expression and statements from whatsoever source, whether found in the columns of the purchased press or from the mouths of paid agents of the Helena capital committee, to the effect that Bozeman has withdrawn from the capital contest.

Resolved, That we assure the voters of Montana that Bozeman is entered in the contest for the capital in good faith, under article 10 of the constitution of the state; that we have prosecuted the campaign to the point when in our opinion victory is assured.

Resolved, That as we are entered in the capital contest on our own merits, we ask only the recognition of those merits and we fear no competitors.

Resolved, that the policy of misrepresentation adopted by the Helena capital committee is odious and disgraceful and will have a tendency only to lower the standing of the public morals, corrupt the masses and bring disgrace upon the fair name of our state.

Resolved, That the true interests of the people are subserved in this contest by eliminating misrepresentation and all questionable methods.

Resolved, That these resolutions be as widely published as possible, in order that the friends of Bozeman may know the statements made throughout the state.
