TO BE PUBLISHED
ATLANTA, May 4 (ANP) -- Atlanta business and the general community will soon be featured in a "Who Is Who" of colored people in business, profession, trade and family to be published by Robert R. Reed, executive secretary of the Georgia Business and Trade Association, and Luther E. Frazier, Atlanta businessmen.
The directory is to carry the valuable compilation on Negro business produced by Dr. J. A. Pierce and J. B. Blayton, of Atlanta university, a record generally called one of the best in its field. The publishers state that the directory will present to the nation a classified list of business operated, professions practiced, trades engaged in, and many of the prominent families in Atlanta, Decatur, East Point, College Park and other adjacent community points.
Every club in the communities, its headquarters, the character of its program, regular meeting dates, officers' names and civic, religious, educational and social welfare agencies will be listed.
The Atlanta edition should be completed and released by Aug. 11, the publishers state.
Similar directories are planned for other cities where the business survey was made, including Baltimore, Cincinnati, Durham, Houston, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans, Richmond, Savannah, St. Louis and Washington.
