Full Text

Congratulating a Judge.

The Reveille tenders Judge Fitzgerald the thanks of the people of Lander for his decision in the tax suit against the Railroad Co. and offers flattering comments on his promptness in disposing of the case. When a Judge renders a decision in accordance with the law and evidence in the case we fail to see wherein he is entitled to any extraordinary praise for doing his duty. Judge Fitzgerald is an honest and conscientious man, and as such renders his judgments without fear or favor; hence the defendant has as much reason to tender congratulations as has the plaintiff.
