WASHINGTON, September 24.
Extract of a letter from Connecticut, to the Editors dated
"New-Haven, Sept. 19.
We have not much reason to believe that our late election has terminated in favor of the Toleration Ticket. The Representatives in Assembly will be about equally divided between the two parties. Little attention on either side was paid to voting on the nomination for Councillors. Had the Republicans any degree of faith, they might have carried the Toleration Ticket by 2000 majority."
