The board of directors of the Volunteers of America, last night, elected William K. Winkler as president to succeed Clyde S. Fuller, resigned.
Henry Bendinger, Clifford L. McMillen, H. A. Mueller, Mrs. H. L. Sanders, Mrs. Oscar Stotzer and Clyde S. Fuller were re-elected directors.
According to an annual report of Mrs. Jeanette Spencer, major, 27 prisoners who were paroled to the organization, were given positions and assisted in caring for their families.
Mrs. A. J. Cardinal, superintendent of the Day Nursery, announced the attendance for the year aggregated 14,819. She reported a nursery school has been established for children, 2 and 3 years old, who are taught to perform minor tasks.
