Full Text

President Tyler's Cabinet,—The N. Y. Union, which claims to speak by authority, says that Messrs. Webster and Forward will retire from the cabinet, and that their places "will be filled with able and popular republicans of the Jefferson school." Rumor says Mr. Webster will be succeeded by Louis McLane, Judge Upsher, or Mr. Cushing, but so far from designating a successor to Mr. Forward, Madame Rumor insists that he is not going to retire from the cabinet at all, the assertion of Judge Noah to the contrary notwithstanding. Old women will differ sometimes.
