SHERMAN MAY LOSE A FOOT
Humphrey Farmer Wanted to Kill Chicken But Gun Was Accidentally Discharged.

While going out to kill a chicken with a pump gun yesterday morning at his home near Humphrey, Grover Sherman, aged 30 years, a farmer by occupation, stumbled, the gun was discharged, and the entire charge of shot and the wadding entered his left leg just above the ankle and tore through the flesh and bone, coming out through the heel.

He was brought to Pine Bluff by Dr. A. Fowler and taken to Clark sanitarium for treatment. His condition is serious as infection has already set in and he had a high fever last night. Sherman is married.
