By the threatened strike of the 2000 street railway employes in New Orleans, La., it is likely to tie up the electric lines in that city. The men want the recognition of the Union, 20 cents an hour instead of 13½ cents an hour, now being paid them. Ten hours to constitute a working day, instead of 12 and 14 hours they are compelled to put in. It is a pity their grievances cannot be adjusted satisfactorily to all concerned.
