WASHINGTON, Pa., July 24.—While no concerted effort was made today to resume mining operations in the district controlled by the state national guard, one company reported increased production at one of its largest mines. Officials of the Acme Coal and Coke Company said twenty-five additional men had been put to work at the Wilson mine. Colonel Stackpole, Jr., commanding the guardsmen in the western Pennsylvania coal fields, returned to headquarters here late today from a tour of inspection in the Cambria, Indiana and Somerset regions. He reported "all quiet" in that district. A convoy of thirty automobile trucks carrying supplies for the soldiers in Washington county arrived here this afternoon.
