PHILADELPHIA, May 7.

In the Mayor's Court, this day, in the case of the commonwealth against certain persons charged with "a riot and assault" on Wm. Duane, editor of the Aurora, the Recorder, after a long address, in which he reviewed the evidence in a candid and perspicuous manner, delivered the judgment of the Court, which was, that the three principals, in the said "riot and assault" should forfeit the sum of 120 dollars, with costs of prosecution. Those guilty in an inferior degree to forfeit the sum of 100 dollars.--Capt. J. Morrell and Mr. Wm. Lewis, appearing to the Court innocent of the charges contained in the indictment, were adjudged to pay one cent.
