ORGAN.-The congregation of Carondolet Street Methodist Church in N. O. had their first pleasure of hearing "the deep, rich tones" of an organ, in that place of worship on Sabbath, 28th Jan. The instrument has been installed, in the gallery, and looks and sounds as though it were in the right place- so say those who were there. We learn the congregation was very large and sang with all their might. The energy and taste of Mr. John Irvine, a Sabbath-school officer, were largely instrumental in "getting up" the organ. It is pronounced first rate, in tone and strength. Cost about $1,800.-N. O. Chr. Adv.
