A person named Hemphill, about forty years old, has been marrying and promising to marry divers widows and single women at Dayton and other places. He married two widows courted and borrowed money of a third at Dayton; he also promised two other young women, of the maiden persuasion, in that place. Various other victims are reported at other places, seven, at the last account—thus fulfilling the prophecy. He is still at large, "going to and fro in the earth, and walking up and down therein," as a scriptural character observed of himself.
