WIRE TO THE FORKS. - The Telephone line has been completed from Bingham to the Forks, the instruments placed, and connection made at Bingham with Skowhegan by using the telegraph lines. The first talk over the line from Skowhegan to the Forks, was made last evening. The atmosphere was not favorable and the old wire from Bingham down, is not in first class condition, yet the voice at the Forks end could be heard distinctly at Skowhegan. This wire will be a great convenience to all along the line, especially to lumbermen.

The company contemplate extending the wire as far as Murphy's, 5 miles above the present terminus. The wire was hung by J. W. Willey of Skowhegan, and is pronounced by those who know, to be a good piece of work.
