Revival In New Orleans.—The N. O. Christian Advocate says that the Felicity street Church, under the pastoral care of the Rev. L. Parker "has been the scene of protracted and interesting meetings for two weeks: the presiding Elder, Dr. Keener, and Rev. J. B. Walker assisting. The congregations are very large and serious: the word in the demonstration of the Spirit. It has been addressed with point and pungency to the conscience. Regardless of the fastidiousness and chronic complaints of city Churches and city folks. these brethren have gone to work on the principle that the forte and the duty of Methodism is to work out her own peculiarities. Some noise, therefore, and much power. We have heard that one or two nice people have been offended! (Acts II: 12, 13.) We have also heard what is better, of about forty souls converted. The Church has been strengthened. Many who have not got their consent or the consent of their friends to mourn at the altar, are doubtless mourning in secret places. From night to night, a free gospel and present salvation continue to be offered there."
