The Prohibition rear-platform cam-
paign began at half-past 8 o'clock
Wednesday morning, when a special
train of a baggage car and two Pull-
mans pulled out of the Chicago Union
depot over the Chicago, Burlington &
Quincy railroad.
Among those aboard were John G.
Woolley, candidate for President;
Henry B. Metcalfe, candidate for vice
president; Volney B. Cushing of Ban-
gor, Maine, and Oliver W. Stewart of
Chicago, chairman of the national ex-
executive committee. The train will
run through Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin
and other Central and Western states.
