Full Text

There are accounts in town from Liverpool, England, which relate the particulars of the defeat of General Meadows and the British army, by that Asiatic Frederick, Tippo Saib, mentioned some time since in the CENTINEL--And add, nothing but a rapid flight of the British forces prevented a complete "Cornwallisade."

In consequence of this intelligence, the British Monarch, it is said, immediately dispatched a messenger to the King of Prussia, to put a stop to the marching of troops to assist the Turks--and it was supposed that a cessation of the warlike preparations in England against Catherine, would be the consequence--that attention might be paid to the preservation of the British territories, in India.
