Mickey Cochrane Ordered

Home To Rest So He Will

Be Ready For Series Play

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 24 (AP)—Mickey Cochrane, star catcher of the Philadelphia Athletics, left St. Louis by plane today for his home in Philadelphia under orders from Manager Connie Mack to rest until such time as he sees fit, to return to the lineup.

Mack said Cochrane had been unable to rest at night for the last week and with the world series but a short time distant, he thought it would be to the club's and Cochrane's benefit to keep him out of the game for a time.
