Full Text

Released.
Moses Baird the kid who was arrested last Tuesday and fined $30 for drawing a revolver on another boy was released last evening by order of the mayor.
The youngster was pardoned on account of his tender years and the grief which his incarceration causes his mother. It is to be hoped that the boy's brief but bitter experience behind the bars will prove a valuable lesson to him. He seems to be penitent and made a faithful promise to Mayor Messerly to behave himself in the future.
In conversation with a Bazoo reporter yesterday the boy acknowledged that evil association was the cause of his trouble and avowed his intention of keeping out of bad company in the future. It is to be hoped for his own sake and that of his parents who are most estimable people that he will faithfully keep his promise.
