The members of the Caldwell Forward club, were entertained at the home of Mrs. Christopher, who was assisted as hostess by Mrs. Parker and Miss Bean. Nearly the entire membership of the club was present. The features of the entertainment, aside from the lunch, was guessing the names of the men whose pictures were attached to the walls of the room. The pictures represented men of national reputation, among the number being that of Sam Ballentyne, one of Canyon counties representatives, and some of the members noted the striking resemblance of Sam to that of Rockefeller. Two other guessing games aided materially in making the social session one long to be remembered.
The club is a permanent organization for our city and will be the means of doing much good. The following are the permanent committees: Educational, Library, Park, Village Improvement and Membership. The club now has 41 members on the roll and nine new names were offered at the last meeting and will be acted upon at the next regular business meeting.
Arrangements are being made by the club to give a supper for the benefit of the public library, the event will probably occur the latter part of the present month. Due notice will be given.
