Full Text

BOSTON, April 24.

We stated some days since, from a New-Hampshire paper, that the Trustees of Dartmouth College had recovered judgment for Twenty thousand Dollars, in their action, vs. Mr. Woodward. It ought to have been added in that paper, as we are informed, that this sum was originally agreed to by the parties, as the amount for which judgment should be rendered, in case the plaintiffs should recover; and that there was a further agreement, that upon delivering up the corporate property sued for (the college records, common seal, &c. &c.) satisfaction of this judgment should be acknowledged. The effect of this judgment therefore is to restore the College property to the Trustees.
