A Shot Was Fired During a Scrap Between Union and Non-Union Glass Workers of Wellsburg Last Evening—Intense Excitement.

There came near being serious trouble on the Ohio Valley Express last evening after it left Wheeling for Pittsburg. On the train were a number of non-union workmen employed at the Eagle glass works at Wellsburg, and several of the old union men. After the train had passed Short Creek the men became engaged in a controversy and a shot was fired, it is alleged, by a non-union man named Kimberland, but fortunately it went wild. Last night the sheriff of Brooke county was looking for the parties.
