EXPERIENCE SEVERE
WEATHER DURING TRIP
Dr. and Mrs. J. O. Rude returned to Juneau over the weekend after a six-week vacation and business trip to the states. Dr. Rude was to attend a school in Portland, Ore., but due to plane connections being late missed the classes and spent the time visiting.
The Rudes spent some time in the east visiting Dr. Rude's 86-year-old mother in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where the temperature was 32 below. In St. Paul, Minn., they had the opportunity to see their two sons and their daughter and grandchild and also attended the Ice Carnival in that city. Dr. Rude also attended the Mayo Clinic.
On their return trip to Juneau they visited Mrs. Rude's family in Cut Bank, Mont., and Mrs. Rude stated this morning that during their first hour in Cut Bank the temperature dropped from 40 above to 15 degrees below zero.
