We hear the doleful news from Woolwich on Kennebeck River, that on the 6th instant, in the day time, about 30 men with their hands and faces black, dress'd with Bearskin caps & Indian blankets, armed with guns and axes, forced into a house and shot, but happened to kill none but a dog, laid hold of a woman & child, and 3 men who were in the house by head & feet, and carried them out and cock'd their guns and bid them run for their lives, or else they would kill and scalp them; then cut down the house and set it on fire, & marched off to the terror of all that heard them.
