Democrats Have Farley Indorsement-
A complete turn about in the National administration's political policy in Minnesota is evident from the announcement of Postmaster General Farley, National chairman of the Democratic party, who urged Democrats to vote the Democratic state ticket from top to bottom. This brings to mind the campaign of two years ago, when at the request of President Roosevelt the leading Democratic state candidates withdrew from the ticket and the party's support was given to the Farmer-Labor machine. This change really should be good news to Republicans of the state, for it enhances the chances of a Stassen victory. Indorsing the Democratic state ticket was the only thing the National Chairman of the Democratic party could do-but the sudden swing about leaves one mystified as to what Governor Benson has done to be deserted thusly. Can it be that the primary election, and the Hjalmar Petersen episode, acted as a barometer in this matter? Governor Benson asked for the national administration's support, in fact he begged for it, when he defended President Roosevelt against the remarks of Governor Landon sometime ago. But we have three months left before the election and many things can happen during that time. However, at long last the Democrats of the state have received that recognition to which, as Democrats, they are entitled.
