Letters from North Carolina inform us, that some wicked and malicious Person had, in the Night of March 16th, wilfully set on Fire and consumed to Ashes, the Stillhouse and all the Utensils belonging thereto, also a large Quantity of Flax, the Property of John M'Gee, Esquire, of Guilford County in that Province. The same Gentleman had his Barn, with a large Quantity of Wheat, and his Stable, burnt some Months before. His Excellency Governour Martin has issued a Proclamation, offering a Reward of fifty Pounds Proclamation Money, for apprehending the Perpetrators of those horrid Crimes, supposed to be some of the desperate Outlaws, who, it is thought, were the Gang that stabbed the Horses of one of the Associate Judges and one of the Attornies, a few Weeks ago, when going the Circuit.
