GOP Dominates Fourth Division
FAIRBANKS, (AP)-With more than 90 per cent of the Fourth Division's total. vote reported, Republicans continued to dominate the legislative vote, while Democrat E. L. Bartlett had a 21/2 to 1 margin for re-election as Delegate to Congress.
The legislative standings on the basis of 54 out of 70 precincts were:
Senate (2 to be elected)-L. Hammond, R., 1895; Coble, R., 1774; Lander, E., 1521; Taylor, D., 1402.
House (5 to be elected)-Stepovich, R., 2206; Miscovich, H., 1951; Franklin, D., 1835; Gasser, R., 1733; Wilbur, R., 1681; Jones, D., 1362; Joy, R., 1574; Dale, D., 1549; Angerman, D, 1362; McCombe, D., 1362.
The only possibility of a change in the races appears to lie in the
150 absentee ballots which will be counted Thursday.
