On Friday afternoon as two little boys paraded, alarm was given, and Georgie ran fast as possible, catching a sight of the boy about forty rods below the bridge, one-half mile below the village. The Joslyns of this village with whom he has lived some years, his father having died two years ago in the army, Chancy was in his eleventh year, a precious boy, beloved by all who knew him. Brief funeral services were held at Phelps, a large number of school-mates and friends attending, and the remains were taken to Greensboro to be buried beside his father. Mr. Joslyn's people desire to express their thanks to those in this vicinity and elsewhere, for their assistance in recovering the body, and their sympathy in their sad loss.
