The Rodney, Largest in the World, Launched in England.

Liverpool, Dec. 15.—Princess Mary officiated today at the launching and christening of the battleship Rodney in the shipyards of Cammell Laird & Co., at Birkenhead.

The Rodney, when commissioned in 1927, will be the largest battleship in the world. Under the Washington treaty its displacement is limited to 45,000 tons. Its armament is also restricted, but the vessel will mount nine 16-inch guns in three triple turrets, instead of having only two turrets, as formerly.
